Our workshop in Karachi opens early, the smell of fresh leather filling the air. The space is simple: a workbench, a few hand‑tools, and a steady rhythm that has guided every wallet we make. It is in this calm that the Classic Bifold Wallet begins its journey.
The first step is selecting the hide. For the Full Grain Pull Up version, we choose a piece of full‑grain leather that will develop a natural sheen with use. For the Crocodile Embossed style, the same quality full‑grain leather is used, but a patterned press adds a subtle texture that mimics a crocodile scale. Both variants are priced at PKR 3,799, while a similar Crocodile Embossed wallet is offered at PKR 3,499.
Once the hide is chosen, the pattern is laid out and the leather is cut by hand. The pieces are then placed under a hydraulic press for the embossing stage. The crocodile pattern is pressed into the surface, giving the wallet a distinctive look without any additional dye or coating. The pull‑up leather is left smooth, allowing its natural character to shine.
Stitching is done with waxed thread, hand‑stitched along each seam to ensure durability. After the stitching is complete, each wallet is examined for loose threads, uneven edges, or any blemishes. Only pieces that meet our strict standards move on to the next stage.
Finally, the wallets are folded, gently pressed to set their shape, and placed in a plain, recycled box. A brief note about care accompanies each one, and the package is ready to be shipped to a customer. Seeing a finished Classic Bifold Wallet, whether Pull Up or Crocodile Embossed, reminds us why we keep the process simple and focused on quality.
